COVID-19 RESPONSE FROM GAMES DONE QUICK

 

March 27, 2020 -- Today, Games Done Quick announced that it will be hosting a speedrunning marathon in efforts to help those in need during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Corona Relief Done Quick (CRDQ) will be an online-only event taking place April 17-19, 2020 on the official Games Done Quick Twitch channel

 

One hundred percent of all CRDQ donations go directly to Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies. Donations can be made directly during the event via the viewing page available at GamesDoneQuick.com. 

 

Summer Games Done Quick 2020 Postponed

 

Games Done Quick also announced that it will be postponing Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2020 due to increasing coronavirus concerns. SGDQ 2020 will take place August 16-23, 2020 in Bloomington, MN benefiting Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières. Registration for the event will open June 7 and close July 20. 

 

Games Done Quick is actively monitoring updates from WHO, CDC, local governments, and public health agencies regarding COVID-19 and continuing to assess the situation.
