TOKYO – August 3, 2023 – NEXON Co., Ltd. (Nexon) (3659.TO), a global leader in Virtual Worlds, today launched blockbuster mobile RPG Blue Archive in China under the title: Weilandangan. Developed by NEXON Games, Blue Archive is published in China by Shanghai Roaming Star Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shanghai Yostar Co., Ltd.
Blue Archive is a mobile Role-Playing Game from renowned Producer Yongha Kim. In the game, players become teachers who form groups of students and guide them on investigations throughout their city, Kivotos.
Blue Archive was first released in Japan in early 2021 and subsequently expanded to a global audience that includes parts of Asia and North America. In Japan, the game attained the top-selling positions on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store and will appear as an animated TV series. In Korea, Blue Archive reached the top-selling ranking on the Apple App Store.
In March, Blue Archive began pre-registration in China and ranked #1 in popular games on major mobile platforms including Bilibili and Tap Tap. More than 4 million players have registered to play Blue Archive, and the promotional trailers have generated more than 5 million views.
