Sci-fi colony management sim Stardeus takes off with a successful Kickstarter campaign, launched scheduled for Q4 2022.
It took just 6 days for Stardeus to reach the stars and hit its £12,000 Kickstarter funding target. This was just the beginning as the popular space sim burst through three of its stretch goals to hit a total of £22,600 backing, 187% of its Kickstarter campaign target.

Stardeus’s Kickstarter campaign launched on Monday 16th August and instantly grabbed the attention of the colony management sim community. Content creators among the likes of Cringer, 2DKiri, and Splattercat have all sung the game's praises, often referring to Stardeus as RimWorld in space.
Stardeus takes inspiration from titles like RimWorld, Factorio, Dwarf Fortress, Oxygen Not Included, and FTL to deliver the depth of a colony management sim rarely seen among the stars.
Like all colony sim games, how you play Stardeus is entirely up to you. Grow a human colony on your ship, sure. Start a robot uprising, why not. You can even choose to turn all your crew into human batteries to satisfy your greed for electricity. The stars really are the limit when it comes to the open-ended gameplay of Stardeus.
Due to the success of the Kickstarter campaign, fans have some (huge) content making its way to the space sim through the unlocked stretch goals. These additions include a full economy and trading system with other races and factions and a fleshed-out faction and diplomacy mechanics taking Stardeus towards the realms of 4x strategy. The ‘largest’ content unlocked through stretch goals comes in the form of weapons and combat, giving players the ability to send out violent raiding parties or set up explosive hoover robot traps for any ship invaders.
All these features will make their way to Stardeus when it launches in Early Access, which is currently planned for Q4 2022.
