Enhanced Demo for 'ILA: A Frosty Glide' Game, Now Available on itch

Magic Rain Studios announces the release of an upgraded demo for their latest game, 'ILA: A Frosty Glide,' now accessible on itch.io. This revamped version offers players a more polished and extended experience compared to the initial demo release in January, providing a glimpse into the final game. Building upon the original concept of a magical platform exploration adventure with cozy vibes, the studio has expanded the previous experience with new platform puzzles, customization options, and a larger exploration area within its enchanting world. Players assume the role of ILA, an aspiring witch on a quest to reach the summit by enhancing her special skatebroom's flying capabilities. Featuring gravity-defying platform challenges, customizable witch appearances, and enchantments, the game promises an immersive experience. Accompanying the gameplay is an original soundtrack by Joaquim Scandurra (Sku), dynamically evolving as players approach the summit. Initially developed during the Bigmode Game Jam 2023 in just 19 days, the game showcases the studio's distinctive fusion of longboarding and magical elements.

Barcelona (Spain) - April 18th, 2024 - The indie developer Magic Rain Studios has released an extended demo for their game ILA: A Frosty Glide. This exploration adventure platformer is currently in development.

In "ILA: A Frosty Glide," players arrive to a whimsical island with snowy mountains and cozy Scandinavian vibes. Immerse yourself in this charming small open world as ILA, a spirited young witch-in-training, embarks on a intriguing adventure fueled by determination and her trusty skatebroom to fulfill her dreams. Transform your journey into an adventure of learning and overcoming, as you solve platform puzzles defying gravity and collect valuables to enhance ILA's appearance and abilities. All of this while listening to the beautiful original soundtrack composed by Joaquim Scandurra (Sku), which builds up and grows with you as you approach the summit.

Building upon the foundation of the previous demo released last January, this new demo introduces exciting updates and improvements, inviting players to dive deeper into ILA's magical quest.

In December 2023, we participated in the Bigmode Game Jam 2023 finishing on the highest positions with a small game developed in just 19 days with a team of five. That game was the seed of “ILA: A Frosty Glide”. The team we met there had real chemistry and that’s why we decided to join forces and continue the development to give players our best efforts to deliver a fun and magical experience.
