This is the latest in many developments since the game launched.
Since its release on February 22, 2023, Funktronic Labs has been working on improving The Light Brigade by squashing myriad bugs (the full list can be found here). Among the bug-squashing have been several quality-of-life improvements, such as adding user-customizable iron sights and reticle colours, adjusting AI behaviour, and more.
On August 31, the team released the first major content update, “Memories of War.” The update added the Engineer, a new player class that deploys pilotable drones; the Shotgunner, by popular request; a dozen new items to find on runs or stock up in the shop; new hand-crafted levels between procedurally generated stages; a new shooting range mini-game; and game balancing and fixes.
On December 7, Funktronic Labs released the MR mode and Quest 3 graphics update. New Quest 3 graphics options included Quality, Clarity, and Low Power Mode. Quest 2 improvements also included improved LOD and overall improved performance. The new mixed-reality mode allowed players to defend their living room (or any space they used) in a wave shooter where enemies broke down walls and tried to take them down.
The team is committed to continuously iterating on The Light Brigade to make it stand as the premiere roguelike VR experience.
